Literature Text
The sky was alight with fire and flames,
hungry
oh so hungry,
ever up reaching -
burning up the sky.
The fire that destroyed men.
The sky was alight with fire and flames,
dancing
forever dancing,
mapping out the sky -
painting greens over and over the sky.
The fire that guided lost one home.
hungry
oh so hungry,
ever up reaching -
burning up the sky.
The fire that destroyed men.
The sky was alight with fire and flames,
dancing
forever dancing,
mapping out the sky -
painting greens over and over the sky.
The fire that guided lost one home.
Weekly prompt #7
I feel I should explain this a bit. In Finnish the Northern lights are called Revontulet, which literally turn would mean The fires of a fox - there are other names we've given to Northern lights and one of them is Taivaan tulet, which literally would mean the Fire of skies, which is where I ended up going with this poem.
